Installing the Batteries (batteries not included) Before you start using the radio, you must first install the batteries into the battery compartment. There are two battery compartments. One is for AA use only ( 6AA), and the other is for rechargeable AA batteries ONLY ( 8AA)! Choose the compartment you want to use. -

Quick Start- (Portable Mode) Insert the antenna into the connector. Insert 6 AA batteries into the slide on (batteries not included). battery case Rotate the ON/OFF knob. Use the channel selector to select the desired channel. Press the push to talk button, and start talking. -
